The county seat of Knox County and the largest city in the East Tennessee Grand Division. The state’s third-largest city overall. The city combines respect for tradition and a constant desire to develop and improve the standard of living of its inhabitants. Worth seeing places in Knoxville Airplane Service Station, located just outside of Knoxville and built-in 1930, Bleak House museum, and Ayers Hall - the iconic landmark building.
Knoxville is also known for being home to the flagship campus of the University of Tennessee. This makes sports and physical activity particularly popular around here. Quentin Tarantino, the Academy Award-winning screenwriter and director, was born in Knoxville.
